About me

I am Associate Professor at the Astronomy Department of the University of Padova, Italy. My research field is in theoretical cosmology and cosmic structure formation. Besides my job I have several other interests, especially music. I also like photography and reading.

My Research interests

• Properties of dark matter haloes. Ellipsoidal collapse. Large scale bias. Universal and conditional mass functions of dark matter haloes.
• Formation and evolution of cosmic structures, using numerical N-body and hydrodynamical simulations.
• Merging history and dynamical equilibrium of galaxy clusters; structural and dynamical properties (shapes, profiles); thermodynamical equilibrium of the ICM; evolution of substructures.
