All-Sky Camera Project
This is a project aimed to obtain images of the Asiago Observatory night-sky within a field-of-view of about 180o.
These images will help to monitor the sky conditions during the night, check the clearness of the sky during astronomical observations,
estimate the sky transparency, record transient phenomena like comets and meteors.
We present preliminary results obtained with a WATEC 903K camera, 1/3" B&W, coupled with a fish-eye Fujinon objective, L-YV2.2x1.4A2
1.4mm -3.1mm F/1.4.
The camera video-out cable was connected to a monitor of the telescope control-room and the following images were acquired through a frame grabber. The presence of the full moon prevents any chance to detect stars, but make landscape and clouds well visible!
